The Poet's Walk is a project by Juan Waelder for the Hotel Belmond La Residencia. Located in Deià, a spectacular mountain village in the Sierra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Poet's Walk is a captivating experience that takes guests on a stunning journey through the hotel's hillside and terraces.
The project includes twelve granite columns with corten steel portraits that pay tribute to a selection of poets that range from Safo to Gloria Fuertes, Robert Graves, Pablo Neruda, Gabriela Mistral, and Fernando Pessoa, among others, offering guests a chance to experience their poetry in a unique and immersive way.
Along the walk, guests can enjoy stunning views of the charming village of Deià and the shimmering Mediterranean Sea while enjoying a path with sculptures and beautiful landscaping created by the local company, Fronda. Rest, read, and take in the views on specially designed wooden benches by Juan Waelder.
